I found myself falling into the cozy games & visual novels on the Nintendo Switch. No extra paraphernalia required lol.

I've heard both of those are addictive, too. It's probably a good thing I don't have a Switch or I'd disappear into that rabbit hole, myself. :D

What's your favorite cozy game?

At the moment it's Palia. It's a free, cross platform Cozy game you can play solo or with others. You can do as little or as much as you want and the community is great. It's on PC and Switch and you can hop back and forth between platforms even. Totally chill, but fun.

Yes. All the games. Yes, please. All the links.

And the chorus said, Amen.

AAAAAAMEEEEEEEEN <-- gregorian chant in text.

I'm working on a list for probably Friday-ish. Maybe Monday. Apparently, I get yappy when I start talking about stuff that excites me. :D

Seconded: Please tell me your top five solo RPGs you're loving so I too can see if I'll love them.

While I’m not into the games, I can relate to the jumping in with all the feet to any art I’ve become interested, tons of rubber stamps from paper & altered book days (and all the other paraphernalia, ink, paper, etc), then on to sculpting - clay, tools, powders, etc. We’re not going to talk about the amount of paint, beads, threads, etc, etc, etc that I’ve accumulated. Sigh - I need to hold an artist garage sale.

I'm pretty sure we're related, because I 100% could have written your comment.

Although I'm trying to get better about not keeping things I'm not using, it doesn't stop me from being all OOH NEW THING and stocking up on everything I'm going to need for that thing. One would think I'd have learned the lesson by now, but nope. Not at all. :D :D :D

I could have written that comment. If it's interesting and I think I want to do it. I immerse myself in it and learn and do as much if it as I possibly can. And I, too, have so many supplies and tools! Multi-potentialite, that's me.

As far as games, per se, I still twitch when I hear about them. I spent Mt life in the company of awful people who loved playing games with my feelings and lived gaslighting while denigrating me and my ideas. So I almost run (I can't physically run in reality any more) from games. I don't want to go and play bingo, nor do I want to play cards with the other old people who live here, thank you very much. I do love hearing about this century's playing, though, so I'm glad to listen and watch whatever you do. I am intrigued by the bust the artblock game. (It's just dawned on me that me dyslexic way if thinking also makes me avoid games, as it often ties me in knots with some games. )

RPG in all forms seems popular again. My gen Z nieces have a podcast where the live RPG. Its called The Cromwell Chronicles. And its won a bunch of indie podcast awards. If you want to hear the youngins play. Its on spotify.

As an art teacher I have a number of creative card games meant to help inspire kiddos. They vary in quality and usability. I look forward to hearing about MUSE. (isn't that what one of your old zines was called)

I like (love) games.

I tried D&D a couple of times. I just tend to panic at creating my character and back story and all that stuff, so I over think it. I played on line with some friends. But then the meet ups were getting spotty and I just kinda gave up.

I'd be interested in solo games. I used to read choose your own adventure books as a kid and they were always fun.

Oooh Rpgs! I live in the video game version. Only thing required is the pc or console of choice. =3 (and sometimes interwebs) mostly play alone these days but Sundays me and the besties play Baldur's Gate 3 together as our D&D day.

Current cozy favorite is Coral Island. Playing via pc/Xbox game pass.

I've got all manner of rpgs to wander through. Biggest collection is Final Fantasy tho.

I should probably end this at some point. Lol! Keep Enjoying the Rpg's they're suuuper fun! And have fun making yours!
