Our barometric pressure went all kablooey this morning.
And as happens when we suddenly change the pressure the actual sky is putting on our actual heads, my brain revolted and decided to invite in a band of angry badgers wielding very pointy knives.
I took some migraine meds to try and quell the rebellion. If I seem a little…woozy, it’s not me; it’s the painkillers1.
Disclaimer aside, it’s a stressful day.
This may be the understatement of the year, but ‘tis true. Doomscrolling is A Thing today.
And to try and counteract that, I dug out all the art stuff and have been doing this:
It’s a mess, but if you can’t make a giant mess when you’re all stressed out, then when can you?2
I’ve got about 250 sheets of deli paper, an equal number of regular paper, and a handful of specialty paper to use up, and I plan on getting as far as I can through the stack before I have to go have another lie-down to coddle the brainweasels.
I had another thing to show you today, but it’ll have to wait until later this week, when we’ve won the battle against the skulldemons.
In lieu of actual content, then, I give you this photo of Porkchop, who paused in his ritualized destruction of his new toy (see floor behind him) to see if the camera might actually be cheese3.
He looks super-disturbed that it’s NOT cheese this time4.
Maybe next time. :)
Or it’s brain-eating amoebas. If ever there were someone who would contract Death Amoebas, it’d probably be me.
Other than, y’know, whenever you damn well please, I mean.
It hasn’t happened yet, but it could, and one would be remiss in one’s snack duties not to beg for it, just in case.
sidenote: shortly after this was taken, I wiped the booger from his eye, pulled the crimson fuzzy out of the side of his mouth…and gave him a cheese treat because I am weak, people.
edited to add: HOW IS A MERE MORTAL SUPPOSED TO RESIST THAT FACE!?
Definitely a doom scrolling kinda day. After all, what else does one do after waking to the news we did and trying not to hack up a lung or both.
I woke with a migraine too...I took an Advil Migraine, it seems to have pulled its ugly head back some. Hope you're feeling better.
